The Burns Bog Conservation Society is looking for Camp Counsellors for their summer camps.
This is a valuable opportunity for students who wish to work with kids in the future or who have an interest in science, especially earth science or biogeoscience. Additionally, this may appeal to students who have a background in French, for there is also a French Camp week. Our volunteer program offers students the opportunity to develop their leadership skills under the guidance of professional educators and experienced staff members. This is also a great chance for prospective SFU students to experience the SFU community and to build relationships with staff, faculty, and current SFU students. Each year the attendees have a blast exploring aspects of biotechnology, pathology, forensics, genetics, genomics and microbiology and use their new knowledge to solve a mystery! We are hosting two camps this summer: one at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops from July 18th to the 22nd and one at Capilano University in North Vancouver from August 15th to the 19th. The cost of attending the summer camp is $275.00.
