The inaugural Vancouver Opera Festival is now only a few months away. There will be opportunities to meet with Canadian directors Joel Ivany, Michael Cavanagh and Rachel Peake as well as the multitude of artist and singers that will be on stage.
The deadline for Work Experience applications is January 31st. For those that are interested there will be further opportunities to volunteer for the Festival after the work experience program is done in a number of roles that require knowledge of Vancouver Opera including backstage tours, pre-show talks and hands on workshops (throat singing, stage fighting J). This is always an excellent place for students to start sharing their passion about the oceans with children, as well as getting some hands-on experience on animal handling (marine invertebrates), and learn customer service skills.
